The world's most promising brothers come together, confirming the osmotic relationship between the venue of the next Games and the freestyle disciplines
After Flora, fresh from her reconfirmation of the World Junior Big Air title, won a few weeks ago on the snows of Piccolo Tibet, it is the turn of her elder brother Miro, who thus joins the Livigno Team. Born in 2004, Miro is a crystalline talent and a great Italian hope in view of the Olympic Games, like his sister with whom he shares the same ambitions and unstoppable growth path.
On the podium in the Big Air, in Krasnojarsk, on the occasion of the 2021 Junior World Championships, and after a discrete debut season in the world of the 'bigs', this year he has put together a campaign of the highest level, which rightfully projects him among the most eagerly awaited profiles in the near future of the discipline, also in the international sphere. He was the first Italian to reach the podium in a World Cup competition, again in Big Air, at Copper Mountain, thanks to his second place on 16 December, and eighth in the Overall ranking of Park&Pipe at the end of the season: truly prestigious results for an athlete who will only turn twenty in November.
A real explosion, which gives continuity to what was shown during the youth years, and which did not go unnoticed even by the experts in the field, as confirmed by Miro's presence among the freestylers invited to the prestigious X Games. A double track, which at the same time also leads to the gates of the 2026 home Games, when Livigno will see the 26 Olympic podiums of the freestyle and snowboard disciplines, including, of course, the Tabanelli brothers' favourite specialities.
An astral conjuncture more unique than rare, with the most promising couple of freeski athletes in the World, Italians and, moreover, brothers, about to start the final rush on the way to the four-year appointment, the Five Circles. A reason of pride for Livigno, and also the umpteenth certification of the quality of the work done to make the resort a top-level international centre for freestyle disciplines: an osmotic and identity-based relationship that now, thanks to the presence of Miro Tabanelli, is embellished by a further piece.
