Livigno 01/05/2024 - It was a day full of emotion and important reflections, the one marked by the passage of the 'Coppa delle Alpi' on the roads of Little Tibet: a long-awaited moment that cemented the common vision of the two realities. The sporting event, in fact, signed '1000 Miglia', brought 30 magnificent vintage cars to our beloved mountains, as part of a five-stage route, crossing the borders of Italy, Slovenia, Austria, Switzerland, Liechtenstein, Germany and France. An appointment of the highest historical and sporting profile, accompanied by numerous collateral initiatives, aimed at stimulating and promoting discussion on environmental and social sustainability.

For Livigno, believing in a project of this magnitude means seeing reflected in it a piece of its identity and its idea of sport, understood as an instrument of cohesion and collective wellbeing, values that have always guided the work of the resort. A country that is preparing to live the Five Circles Olympic experience, another great challenge of the near future, and that can and must draw inspiration from shared and stimulating experiences such as the Alpine Cup. Also for the Games, in fact, the main objective will be the construction of a strong, lasting legacy, which is generated by the arrival of a magnificent sports event in the territory, but which is then realised in a long and very long term sustainability. Both in environmental terms and in economic and social terms.

Just as Coppa delle Alpi aims to promote sustainable sports tourism, finding the right meeting point between the past, the present and the future, in the same way, Livigno, is preparing to live the great Olympic experience with an eye firmly set on the future, to leave an even more enhanced territory and an even more inclusive society, to the generations to come. An impetus that, with the support of SIMICO and the entire municipality, will translate into a series of activations and works, such as the underground car park in the Marangona area; the connection of the Carosello3000, Freita and Camanel slopes; such as the Municipal Operations Centre; or the interventions at the Casa della Sanità. Practical examples of the great results that can be achieved in terms of legacy, when planning with foresight and a clear vision of the future.
