Fishing in alpine lakes

The valley of Livigno, which is crossed by the Spöl river that feeds the artificial lake to the north, is a favourite destination for fishing enthusiasts. Not everyone knows, however, that Aquagranda is the ancient name of the Spöl river, which channels its waters to the Inn river and from there to the Danube and the Black Sea.

There are several alpine lakes that can be reached on magnificent hikes, as well as lakes at the bottom of the valley, which are easily accessible from the foot and cycle path.

Fishing in Livigno is open from 25.02.2024 to 06.10.2024 and permitted on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays and on recognised national holidays.

Fishing licences for the Livigno area are on sale at:

PB Pesca Shop, Via dala Gesa 563, Livigno
Goloseria Galli, Via Bondi 487, Livigno

The following daily permits are available:

From 25.02.2024 No Kill daily permits are issued for the Livigno catchment area (excluding Lake Livigno)
From 02.05.2024 daily permits with catch Normal Regulation Zone for the Livigno lake are issued.
From 03.06.2024 daily permits with catches are issued for the Livigno catchment area
From 07.06.2024 fishing is also permitted on Fridays and weekend passes will be on sale.
From 28 July 2024 fishing is permitted in the ‘Trophy Zone’ Foscagno Lake
