Livigno - also known as the 'Little Tibet of Europe' due to its altitude (1816 metres) - is preparing to be the stage for the third consecutive year of La Milanesiana, the event conceived and directed by Elisabetta Sgarbi and one of the most interesting and important artistic and cultural events on a national and international level, which this year reaches its 25th edition.
The link between the top resort in Valtellina and the La Milanesiana event has grown more and more over the years to the point of becoming a source of pride for Livigno, which wants to enhance its territory also thanks to these initiatives that make it more and more attractive and suitable for hosting events aimed at a heterogeneous audience from all over Italy, but also from abroad.
This edition, which will start on 20 May and will visit 25 Italian cities with 72 cultural events and 150 guests, combining Literature, Music, Cinema, Science, Art, Philosophy, Theatre, Law, Economics, Sport and Comics, will address the theme "Shyness (and its antonyms)": the art of knowing how to listen and observe the world, and the worlds of others, instead of getting sucked into a whirlwind of activities and stimuli, at the risk of losing sight of what is really important. But also its opposites, histrionics and extroversion. Shyness loves peace, a chimera in a world dominated by Wars, one of the main topics of this edition.
The second main topic of the exhibition will be the relationship with Nature, and in particular with Water, which aims to recognise the power, beauty and fragility of nature.
This year Livigno will play a 'leading' role in this artistic and cultural project, hosting several unmissable events for three days:
