MILANO CORTINA OLYMPICS 2026

6 - 22 February 2026

We are Olympics: 26 Olympic titles to be awarded in Livigno

Livigno is the home of those who love and practice sport. A magical place, capable of bringing together great champions from all over the World and fans of all ages, thanks to the perfect combination of geographic location, altitude, state-of-the-art facilities and human warmth.

Frequented throughout the year by Olympic athletes from every corner of the planet, who choose it as the ideal destination to perfect their training in view of the great seasonal appointments, in 2026 Livigno will also be the protagonist of the Olympic Games, as the venue of the Freestyle and Snowboard competitions, disciplines deeply linked to the DNA of the resort. As many as 26 Five Circles titles will be awarded in Livigno, crowning a long-standing relationship with both the Olympic Games and the specialities that will animate this eagerly awaited appointment with History.

Because Livigno is Olympics. Always, every day.
And there is no better way than hosting the Five Circles to celebrate the importance of the Games in its culture and identity.

PLACES AND DISCIPLINES

The 2026 Olympics will add even more prestige to Livigno’s entire geography, interacting with the town and transforming it into a genuine Five-Ring amusement park. On one side, at the Mottolino ski area, the Livigno Snowpark will be set up to host competitions and award Olympic titles in Half Pipe, Slopestyle, Big Air, Snowboard Cross, Ski Cross, and Parallel Giant Slalom.
Meanwhile, directly facing this first venue at Carosello 3000, the Livigno Aerials & Moguls Park will come to life, welcoming the world’s best athletes as they compete in the Moguls and Aerials disciplines.
Additionally, at the entrance to the town, the Aquagranda Olympic Preparation Center—serving as a pivotal hub and essential location for the Five-Ring dreams of thousands of athletes from around the world—helps form a magnificent Olympic triangle that spans the entire area.
Finally, in complete respect for the land and the environment, Livigno has chosen not to build a new Olympic Village. Instead, it will repurpose a selection of existing hotels, adapting and preparing them for the event. This approach minimizes the impact on the majestic landscape that needs protection, while still ensuring that the athletes experience the typical enchantment of a Five-Ring location.

THE OLYMPIC DISCIPLINES IN LIVIGNO IN 2026

MOGULS & DUAL MOGULS
Freestyle

A run filled with bumps, evoking the feel of fresh powder, and featuring jumps where athletes can pull off their best tricks. The best combination of speed and style is rewarded.

AERIALS
Freestyle

Defying gravity by using a series of ramps to perform combinations of maneuvers and multiple flips in midair. It’s a true test of strength and creativity.

SLOPESTYLE
Snowboard & Freestyle

The city comes to life in the Snowpark through structures with a distinctly urban design. Rails, benches, staircases: a downhill run where imagination and creativity run wild, leading to a final-trick showdown.

BIG AIR
Snowboard & Freestyle

A single, massive jump that skiers and snowboarders use to perform the most complex combinations of spins, flips, and somersaults in a highly spectacular discipline marked by tremendous technical difficulty.

SKI CROSS
Freestyle

Four athletes side by side, descending simultaneously along a course specifically designed to underscore the competitive nature of a high-adrenaline race that remains uncertain right up to the final banked turn.

SNOWBOARD CROSS
Snowboard
Four athletes per heat, board to board, on a course that includes tight turns, jumps, bumps, and both steep and flat sections. The goal is to cross the finish line first and earn a spot in the Big Final.

HALFPIPE
Snowboard & Freestyle
The half-pipe is the symbol of freestyle: a semicircular snow structure where harmony and elegance must combine with style and technical complexity in every single element, creating the kind of run that can earn an Olympic podium.

PGS
Snowboard

In the parallel giant slalom, two snowboarders compete head-to-head on two identical, side-by-side courses for an intense, all-or-nothing format. The knockout bracket guarantees excitement and uncertainty right up to the final.

THE OLYMPIC VISION AND GOALS

The true measure of the Olympic Games lies in the weight of their tremendous History, spanning nearly two centuries of global sporting and human experience. This significance has grown with each edition, made possible, above all else, by the far-reaching vision that underpins and directs all Five-Ring endeavors.

On the Olympic journey, the weeks of competition are not merely a finishing line; they also serve as a springboard for shaping the future—an evolution seen in the long-term legacy the Games will leave on the host territories, both in terms of environmental sustainability and cultural impact. In this context, Livigno was chosen for its outstanding sporting offerings, for the close-knit bond its community shares with sport in the broadest sense, and for its growing ecological footprint, a reflection of daily virtuous habits that bring the concept of sustainability to life. It is a way of living that will continue well beyond the 2026 Games.

INFRASTRUCTURES

When it comes to high-level sports infrastructure,
Livigno represents world excellence

A unique pole of its kind, capable of bringing together particular resources and geography , to offer the most important athletes on the planet, the perfect context in which to train and prepare for the most important appointments of the season. A long-lasting bond, which takes the form of long-standing relationships with individual athletes, technical staffs, national teams and Federations of numerous different disciplines, who choose Little Tibet as an integral part of their journey towards World or Continental Championships, World Cups, International Meetings and, of course, the Olympic Games.
