TUNNEL MUNT LA SCHERA

Munt La Schera Tunnel is the access point for Livigno for those visitors arriving from Trentino Alto Adige, Veneto, the Engadin, Switzerland and all of Northern Europe. The tunnel is 3.5 km long, transit is one-way and alternating, and payment of a toll is required.
Online ticket sales are limited to the following categories: cars with up to 9 seats, motorbikes and caravans for either a one-way or a return journey. Tickets for all the other categories of vehicles can only be purchased at the Punt dal Gall cash desk and not online. Tickets purchased online can be shown on paper or in digital form from a mobile device (smartphone, tablet). When purchasing tickets it is only necessary to enter the arrival date.
IMPORTANT: Always check tunnel opening times before purchasing your ticket.
OPENING HOURS
The Munt la Schera Tunnel is open every day, from Monday to Sunday, 24 hours a day, with alternating one-way traffic regulated by traffic lights.
SPECIAL SATURDAY HOURS
Hours valid from 28/02/2026 to 18/04/2026.
USEFUL INFO TO KNOW
Transit of the tunnel is not allowed by bike, a bike shuttle is available during the summer
Before leaving, it is always advisable to inquire about the opening times and usability of the Alpine passes and the Munt La Schera tunnel.
It is necessary to remember to always carry a valid document for expatriation.
It is not allowed to pass through the tunnel, of vehicles higher than mt.3,60.
During the winter season, it is mandatory for all vehicles to USE WINTER TYRES OR CHAINS.
